Types of Impotence:
There are different types of Impotence found in men:
Venogenic impotence:
In this type of impotence the veins of the penis close down in a normal individual. Generally, the veins locks down almost entirely and little or no blood circulate out from the penis. It is most common form of impotence which accounts in 30 to 70% impotence cases.
Arteriogenic impotence:
In this type of impotence the arteries supplying blood directly to the penis do not bring enough blood, which is needed to make an successful erection. It mainly occurs in elderly people. This type impotence is also a common type of impotence. The occurrence of Arteriogenic impotence due to common injuries but often goes unnoticed because of ignorance. So people should not ignore any minor injuries to penis otherwise it may bother a person in future.
Impotence from Diabetes:
Impotence is very common among diabetics. Around 50% diabetics are impotence patient. This type of man needs treatment for impotence and must follow doctors' instruction.
Psychogenic impotence:
This type of impotence occurs when some psychological factor prevents person from successful erection. Anxious and depressed people ofter suffer from such type of impotence.
Hormonal Impotence:
This type of impotence occurs when some hormonal imbalance found in person's body. This type of impotence cases are found in 5% of impotence patients.
Neurogenic impotence:
The nerve supply to the man's penis is very sensitive and a good conduction of impulses. An injury to the back or other nerves related to the penis are the main causes of Neurogenic impotence.
Mixed impotence:
If more than one factors are affecting the impotence patient than they fall in this category. In this type of impotence psychological or/and physical factor affects the person.
